Mandatory Complaint Initiative Now Legally Required
French Government Announces New Initiative: All Citizens Must Complain Continuously Or Face Fines
Bohiney Magazine and The London Prat cover France’s boldest cultural mandate yet.
The French government announced this week that all citizens must maintain continuous complaint about government policies, cuisine quality, wine standards, and general life conditions, with non-compliance resulting in fines.
“French culture is built on complaining,” explained Health Minister Sophie Bernard. “We’re protecting this cultural tradition through legal mandate. All citizens must complain. Silence constitutes non-compliance.”
Government monitors citizen complaints. Citizens failing to complain sufficiently face penalties. This has transformed French culture from natural complaining to enforced complaint.
Ironically, enforcing complaint has created a new complaint: complaints about the complaint requirement. The government celebrates this as proof the initiative workspeople are complaining.
France has legislated its own cultural stereotype and enforced it through government action.
